Jeremy Goodall

Position: Race Engineer

I come from a racing family, my dad used to race in British Championships and I was two weeks old the first time I was in the racing paddock.

I started my road racing career in 1995 winning the Club Championships before moving up to the British and National scene. After doing a few seasons of the British 125 Championship and being a regular front runner I moved into the 250 class in 2001 becoming National Champion that year.

In 2002 I moved classes again but this time up to the Supersport 600 class which was probably the most fun I’ve had on a bike. I won the second race out on it at a national and was fifth at my first British Championship at Silverstone and I ended up seventh that year in the Championship.

2003 saw me move again and I moved up to Superbike class, and ended up forth in privateer Championship, sadly I injured myself testing at Donington Park a week before the last round of the year. I broke both my ankles and suffered internal damage which meant I had to take a year out at this point in my life I was 25 and I decided if I was going to be World Champion I would have done it already.

2004 I took on a totally new role and I started helping young riders training them and trying to bring the best out of them. I still play on bikes now and again but just for fun, I have known James from the start of his racing career and I first worked as James’ mechanic in 125 in 2005 where I got to help out both James and a good friend of mine Mark Keen. During 2006 I moved back to four strokes and worked in the Spanish and British Championships in the 600 class.

I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of working with James again and the Centurion Racing Team, I’m hoping we’ll have a strong and positive season and I’m very much looking forward to the challenge and experience.
