I have been involved with racing for as long as I can remember, my earliest memory stems back to watching International meetings when I was about 8 years old. I progressed firstly to marshalling and was already riding motorcycles on the road, and with my licence under threat, I decided to take up racing.
I raced from 1981-1984 winning club championships and scoring top 10 placings at national meetings. I then helped my brother in law with his racing in 1985 in the British 350 championships. I then got married and started a business.
I bought James his first motorcycle when he was 3 years old. I maintained and sponsored James throughout his Moto-X career until he was 12 years old. He then pushed me to buy him his first Road racing bike, which was a production Aprilia 125. I bought him a 2003 Honda for that years campaign, where he finished 7th in the MRO championship and also successful outings in the British Championship. My proudest moments of his career so far have been: his numerous race wins and lap records in the 2005 and 2006 125 British Championships, and also finishing a creditable 22nd in the 2005 Cinzano British Grand Prix.
We had a terrific 2007 season with incredible results from both riders. It is good to be part of Centurion Racing, and once again we are both looking forward to the 2008 season where all three riders will be in the British Supersport Championship.
